Welcome to Youth Ultimate UK’s Safeguarding page.
This page provides guidance and information for anyone who may have a concern about the safety or wellbeing of a child or young person, the behaviour of an individual in a position of trust, or the welfare of themselves or others. Youth Ultimate UK’s Safeguarding is committed to creating an environment where all participants feel safe, supported, and respected, enabling everyone to enjoy their involvement in Ultimate.
We are committed to keeping children and young people safe and supporting their wellbeing. All of our staff are safely recruited and adhere to Youth Ultimate UK codes of conduct. Youth Ultimate UK follows the Safeguarding and Welfare Policy of UK Ultimate and works in line with its guidance at club level. We are committed to responding to and reporting any safeguarding concerns appropriately, working with UK Ultimate’s safeguarding team when required.

How to Report a Safeguarding Concern
If you are worried about a child or young person, do not ignore it.
You can raise a concern by:
Speaking directly to one of the safeguarding contacts listed above
Emailing: safeguarding@youthultimate.co.uk
Completing a safeguarding report form
You do not need to have proof to report a concern, sharing a worry is enough!
Youth Ultimate UK will respond to concerns appropriately and, where necessary, will work with UK Ultimate and relevant external agencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those involved.

All safeguarding concerns will be treated confidentially and responded to appropriately. If you are unsure whether something is a safeguarding concern, please get in touch, it is always better to ask.
If you have a concern during an after-school club
Youth Ultimate UK runs after-school Ultimate clubs in partnership with schools. The safety and wellbeing of children attending these sessions is a top priority.
All sessions are delivered by appropriately trained staff who follow Youth Ultimate UK safeguarding policies and codes of conduct. We work closely with schools to ensure safeguarding procedures are clear and consistent.
If the concern relates to a session taking place at a school, you can speak to the session coach or the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Any safeguarding concerns will be shared and managed appropriately in line with Youth Ultimate UK and school safeguarding procedures.
